    Down The Road

    Documentary Film Project

Down The Road's mission is to create a documentary that captures the beauty and tragedy of Central America, and in turn helps all Americans understand one another better. We aim to share the stories of the people and places we encountered as well as our own story. Through the viewing of our film, we seek to challenge this American generation to rethink its ideas of normalcy. The film's intent is to educate through exposure, entertain through adventure, and inspire through living purposeful lives with an outward focus.

    Mustard Seed Communities

Mustard Seed Communities is a non-profit 501-3(c), community development organization that began in 1978 Kingston, Jamaica. Hogar Belen in Managua, Nicaragua opened its door in 2000 to care for abandoned handicap children. In 2004 Mustard Seed Communities felt a calling to minister to the people of La Chureca and the Christ in the Garbage Ministry was formed. A feeding program was initiated to address the immediate needs of the families living in La Chureca. Later in 2006 a sewing center, Centro de Costura, opened to teach women from the dump a trade that could give them a chance for a brighter future.
