Braddigan
(of Dispatch)
and Taylor Carson have teamed up with Nica HOPE to deliver
what promises to be
memorable evening of music and inspiration. The concert
proceeds
will benefit Nica HOPE's mission of providing opportunities for
socioeconomic
advancement and economic development in impoverished communities
throughout Nicaragua.
The union of Braddigan and Nica HOPE is a compelling story of shared passions drawing lives together. Wade McMullen, a key contributor to Nica HOPE, and Brad Corrigan (aka Braddigan) realized a special relationship was on the horizon when McMullen recognized a picture taken by Corrigan of Ileana, a girl he had met while working with community members in La Chureca, an impoverished barrio located in the Managua city garbage dump.
Braddigan continues the Dispatch legacy by spending time building relationships, both locally and overseas, and by investing in a community of listeners who desire more than just music. Copies of Braddigan’s new music documentary “Side of the Road”, featuring Braddigan’s work at the city dump in Managua, will be sold at the concert. Arlington, VA-based musician Taylor Carson and bandmates Patrick Thornton and Jamie Watkins are new friends of Nica HOPE but have a long legacy of using their music as a platform to benefit the wider global community, having contributed their support to a wide array of charitable efforts over the years. They are looking forward to continuing their support for Nica HOPE as they promote Carson's second album Tangled in Truth, released in March 2007.
